Hundreds of runners dressed up as Santa Claus in the the 2020 Run Run Santa I Mile, held December 19 at Calvary Chapel Viera. Santa Run organisers Cath and Saartje Drijver said they were both grateful to everyone who took part and to the marshals who made it possible. The event was a success and enjoyed by all who took part. It followed all necessary coronavirus guidance from both scottishathletics and the Scottish Government.

We were so disappointed to have to cancel our annual Santa Fun Run however in light of the current situation, it is the right thing to do - the safety of our supporters, volunteers and staff is of the utmost importance.

We are calling on our local community to help us raise much needed festive funds this year as you choose to run 5k or 10k your way - it's for a great Claus!!

• You can join in the virtual fun run on either Saturday 5th or Sunday 6th December
• Plan your own route - outdoors at a local park, around the streets of your neighbourhood or even in your own back garden! (Remember to follow government guidelines!)
• Put on your festive finest and run your route for Primrose Hospice
• When you've finished, email your photo to info@primrosehospice.org to receive your finishers medal and letter from Santa
